What to Visit

• Red Fort: In the chaotic Old Delhi a fort that served as the residence of the Mughals. Red Fort is enormously popular for being of great historical importance in both Mughal and the British Era. In 2007, Red Fort was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.


• Jama Masjid: Delhi’s largest mosque and Shah Jahan’s final architectural triumph, located at the heart of Old Delhi. The marble and red-sandstone structure has four watchtowers and two minarets standing 40m high, one of which can be climbed for amazing views.


• Raj Ghat: On the banks of the Yamuna River, the peaceful, serene and elegant memorial is dedicated to the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi. A simple black-marble platform in an open air complex marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.


• Akshardham Temple: The place of worship in Delhi showcases 10,000 years of Indian culture in all its magnificent intricately carved stone structure. The multiple exhibition halls, audio-visual displays, boat rides provide insight into the life and times of Swaminarayan.
